Behind the name VELINA comes two young entrepreneurs, sisters Tina & Erica Jackson. From growing up in Toronto, Canada in a multicultural home, living in Paris, France for three years, traveling throughout Europe, North America, places as far as Asia, and currently finding themselves in Atlanta, USA — it was only a matter of time before Tina & Erica’s love for fashion and design developed and found a home in VELINA. Tina is a young graphic designer; Erica, a young journalist. Together, with contagious spirits and strong sense of style, Tina & Erica knew they needed to find an outlet where their passion for design and enduring ambition could collide. This collision is what spearheaded the creation of VELINA. The name VELINA was chosen because it was their Italian mother’s nickname as a young girl. Tina & Erica believed ‘Velina’ was a good name for their line, as it represents something special: their family and where they come from. Through each original piece, Tina & Erica hope to bring stylish designs — created with stones and charms from all over the world – celebrating the beauty behind diversity. VELINA is more than just a business to them, but a passion that has grown into a diverse form of self-expression for both themselves and their clientele.
